Evanston, WY

Well, if you were reading the first post in this series, you would realize that our plan was to stay in Wendover this evening and play golf.  So much for our plans.  We crossed Nevada on I-80 in beautiful weather - that is, until we got within twenty miles of Wendover and then the rain came.  So we stopped at the Rainbow Casino in Wendover for lunch, cancelled our overnight reservations, and golf tee time at Toana Vista.

Decided to continue on and see how far we could get.  Came across the Great Salt Lake and then through Salt Lake City - right at rush hour.  Who says we don't have good planning.  We experienced intermittent rain as we climbed through the pass in the Wasatch Mountains and past Park City, Utah.  It's a beautiful drive and very scenic.  Crossed into Wyoming and decided to stay in Evanston, almost right on the border.

Staying at the Best Western here and decided to just have dinner at the connected restaurant.  No brew pubs in the local area, so we elected to sit at the bar and have dinner there.  Cool evening - not sure whether it's because of the altitude or the rain in the area, but it's 56 degrees right now.

Not sure where we go from here, but probably northeast up through Wyoming and then across South Dakota.  We'll keep you posted on our travels.
